Job Description

Certification:

  • ARRT

  • BLS (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, Military Training Network)

Shift:

  • PRN Day shifts, 8hrs (8-4:30p). 10-14 shifts/month (This is the department need. Not to be covered by 1 person.)

  • **Radiology manager will work with primary job's schedule**

Experience:

  • Hospital experience, at least 1 year recently

  • Need C-Arm experience

Equipment:

  • Phillips

  • GE Dual Energy

  • Siemens

Cases:

  • Ortho

  • ERCP

  • CXR

  • Bronchs

  • Pain Clinic

Essential Functions:

  • Performs all radiologic procedures which are offered by the department, following exam protocols on neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients

  • Completes paperwork and computer related duties. Assists radiologists, staff physicians, nursing, and hospital personnel with radiological services

  • Maintains department facilities, equipment, and materials in a condition to promote efficiency, health, comfort, and safety of patients and staff

  • Check equipment, supplies, and accessories on a regular daily basis

  • Keeps supplies current and replenished

  • Processes film, evaluating technical quality and accurate patient identification and side labeling

  • Greets patients, verify patient identification and physician orders

  • Obtain, correlate and document clinical history, prior to the start of examination

  • Transports patients and informs nursing units of patients' departure and arrival

  • Holds medical and other sensitive information in confidence

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or its equivalent certification

  • Graduate of accredited Radiological Technology Program

  • Current ARRT license

  • Full command, verbal and written, of the English language

  • One (1) year relevant experience as a Radiology Technician

  • Current CPR card through the AHA
