JOB TITLE: Electrical Engineering Project Manager


DEPARTMENT: Engineering


REPORTS TO: Director of Engineering


EMPLOYEE TYPE: Full-Time


LOCATION: 19772 Pauling, Foothill Ranch, CA 92610 (100% Onsite)


SALARY: is commensurate with relevant experience


PAY RANGE: $80,000- $110,000 Annually 


GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

Chroma Systems Solutions, Inc. is a leading designer and manufacturer of power testing instruments and systems including programmable AC Power Source and DC Power Supplies, AC loads and DC Electronic Loads, Digital Power Meters and Automated Testing Systems for applications in LED Lighting, Led Drivers, Aerospace, Defense, Military, Automotive, Medical, Battery, Solar, Marine, and Regulatory Testing.


The Electrical Engineering Project Manager manages all phases of technical design, build, and deployment of ATE Systems Projects. He oversees the project’s integrity and ensures that it meets design specifications and customer requirements. He also provides engineering guidance and helps to train new engineers and keep abreast of industry trends and issues.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages multiple small-scale projects or single complex projects from conception until delivery
  • Leads technical peer reviews alongside System and Project Engineers
  • Provides technical feedback to the Sales department on project proposals
  • Provides mentorship and guidance to System Engineers and track Key Performance Indicators


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: BSEE degree. MBA or PMP certification a plus
  • 1-3 years or experience managing technical Projects
  • 7 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Test Engineering & Integration, or a related field developing test solutions for commercial customers
  • Working knowledge of automated test equipment (ATE) and systems with experience in ATE software programming (LabVIEW), C, C++<, Visual Basic, etc.) and test executive applications
  • Experience using AC/DC power sources, electronic loads, hipot testers, power meters and general electrical lab test equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Effectively presents ideas to peers, management, and outside customers.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Office tools as Word, Excel, Visio, and Power Point.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is a non-supervisory position


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

General office skills and dexterity are required. Ability to lift 30 pounds.
