Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Logistics Coordinator takes care of all construction equipment on the project site. He.She controls the rental, maintenance, repair and return of assets, construction equipment and vehicles. The Logistics Coordinator performs his.her duties mainly in the site office (about 75% of the time), while working directly in the field for about 25% of his or her schedule. • Excellent communication skills, ability to establish and maintain working relationships, in French and English;
• Advanced proficiency in spoken and written French;
• Intermediate proficiency in spoken and written English in order to interact with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, partners, and colleagues at the national level;
• High level of autonomy and ability to handle last-minute requests;
• Excellent team management and conflict resolution skills;
• High geographic mobility;
• Valid driver's license;
• Knowledge of construction machinery would be an asset;
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and Outlook.
What you will do to complete this mission successfully:
• Plan equipment requirements based on the site team's needs in collaboration with the superintendent and foremen;
• Plan and schedule delivery appointments;
• Manage the fleet in coordination with the regional logistics coordinator;
• Update the tracking database with the required equipment and tools;
• Create and maintain an equipment forecasting model for all equipment suppliers;
• Ensure the site has all the equipment necessary to complete the job;
