Joint Operations & Logistics Planner

On Site | Scott AFB, Illinois | Secret Clearance Required (TS/SCI Eligible)

If you want to shape how global bulk fuel logistics supports operational war plans and contribute directly to Combatant Command readiness, we would love to talk.

Why This Role Exists

The work we do has real impact, and the people behind it matter just as much.

D&G is seeking a Joint Operations & Logistics Planner to support USTRANSCOM in its role as the Single Manager for Global Bulk Fuel Management and Delivery (GBFMD). This position leads the strategic coordination and integration of bulk fuel logistics into Combatant Command operational plans. The role ensures alignment between strategic objectives and logistical capabilities, directly contributing to the execution and feasibility of DoD missions worldwide.

What You Will Do
  • Lead military planning and coordination for Global Bulk Fuel-related matters between USTRANSCOM, its components, and Combatant Commands.
  • Collaborate with Combatant Command planners to develop, review, and integrate USTRANSCOM equities into operational plans and contingency plans.
  • Analyze Time-Phased Force Deployment Data (TPFDD) and related planning documents to assess operational feasibility and optimize resource allocation.
  • Identify strategic trends and provide data-driven recommendations to senior leadership through statistical analysis, data visualization, and detailed reporting.
  • Prioritize and resource closure of operational and logistical shortfalls identified through studies, assessments, and planning analysis.
  • Support synchronization of bulk fuel planning with Joint Operation Planning Process (JOPP) activities and global distribution requirements.
  • Brief senior leaders on planning assumptions, risks, mitigation strategies, and logistical constraints impacting mission execution.
What We Are Looking For

Required

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Military Studies, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience at USTRANSCOM, a Combatant Command, Joint Staff, or equivalent headquarters-level staff.
  • Experience supporting operational planning efforts within a Joint or Combatant Command environment.
  • Ability to travel approximately 15% CONUS and OCONUS.

Preferred

  • Graduate of Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) or advanced military planning course.
  • Demonstrated experience with TPFDD analysis and the Joint Operation Planning Process (JOPP).
  • Proven ability to translate complex planning data into clear, actionable insights for senior leader decision-making.
  • Experience working with Department of War, DLA, or USTRANSCOM logistics planning activities.
Clearance and Eligibility
  • Active DoD Secret clearance required with eligibility for TS/SCI.
  • This role is restricted to U.S. person(s) (U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
Travel

Approximately 15% CONUS and OCONUS.
