Job description


The National Account Executive will coordinate overall company efforts to ensure continuous high service levels. They will handle profitably managing, serving, and growing designated concepts, likely in our Retail space. They will interface with all levels of customers, support services, and suppliers. The NAE functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Duties include:
  • Manage customer relationships by developing regular communications with key customer personnel. Respond promptly to all complaints from customer and follow up to ensure problem resolution. First level of support for product development, agency retention of business, and partnership support for growth.
  • Act as liaison between customer and company to work out details regarding services, products, and problems.
  • Attend customer functions, industry trade shows and conferences, etc., in an effort to secure positive relations with customer and Agencies they support.
  • Communicate and coordinate as the primary channel of communication between corporate headquarters and purchasing, information services, and accounting departments
  • Promote customer profitability by working with account managers to retain and grow accounts and maintain profitability. This may include, but is not limited to managing dead and slow inventory, accounts receivable/deposits, unrealistic service requests and balanced loads, etc.
  • Inventory management by working with brokers and supplier reps to keep up with customer's needs. Work with purchasing to ensure products needed to service multi-unit customers are ordered timely.
  • Coordinate product changes, requirements, etc. with purchasing and operations. Work closely with purchasing and operations to achieve goals of no dead stock, damaged goods, or out of stock items. Respond to problems with inventory as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Bachelors, or equivalent experience
1-2 years sales experience, with demonstrated growth and ambition to embrace government contracts
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors in Sales, Marketing, or related area
4-6 years sales experience, including with multi-unit operations
Knowledge of government contracts sector
