A Maintenance Technician Helper is responsible for a wide range of daily duties including inspection, maintenance, and repair of facility equipment and systems and documentation of such tasks; all while maintaining safety, productivity, and financial responsibility. Typically requires a high school diploma and one year electrical/automation experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assists with daily plant and equipment inspections as directed.
  • Assists in adhering to preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and documentation.
  • Monitors equipment for unusual sounds to detect malfunction.
  • Assists in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Assists in maintaining spare parts inventory.
  • Assists in dismantling defective equipment and installing new or repaired parts.
  • Provides technical information and operational guidance to production employees as directed.
  • Follows safety rules and procedures including OSHA standards and the Company Process Safety Management program.
  • Assists with performing and recording periodic testing.
  • Maintains a clear sense of priority and focus in support of team performance.
  • Identifies improvements in the process's equipment.
  • Assists leadership with problem resolution and correction of equipment deficiencies.
  • Constantly considers long term upgrades and repairs.
  • Additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical training / technical degree a plus.
  • 1+ years maintenance / mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills with the ability to effectively multi-task.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated track record of being a reliable and dependable worker
  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States
