Job description

Applied Technical Services, LLC (“ATS” or the “Company”) is a leading provider of critical testing, inspection, certification, and compliance services. The Company serves clients across a diverse set of large and stable end markets including manufacturing, power generation, aerospace, medical, and defense. ATS was founded in 1967 and is headquartered in Marietta, GA. Today the Company employs nearly 2,100 team members in over 95 locations across the United States.

Summary:  ATS is seeking a Resident Inspector for API and NDT related work for Brunswick, GA.  This is a full time position working an average of 45 hours per week.  No per diem, and no lodging.  Relo assistance/incentive available.  This is an immediate opening.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform field inspections of industrial equipment (storage tanks, pressure vessels, and piping systems).
  • Generate written reports utilizing MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Manage projects ranging from $5,000 - $100,000.
  • Manage client relationships, work with inspectors, effectively communicate work progress/status with client.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in Mechanical Integrity in pulp and paper industry.
  • Must hold at least API 510/653.
  • Additional NDT/API certs a plus.
  • AutoCAD and/or Compress experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.

Work Conditions:

  • Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
  • Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man-baskets, etc. 
  • Work in confined spaces which will require crawling, stooping, climbing, etc. 
  • Work in around operating equipment and industrial environments. 
  • Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film developing chemicals, etc.
  • Work shifts up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week and travel for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds.
