What you will do
The Senior Property Claims specialist will work to resolve Commercial Property Claims in a timely, professional manner with our insureds. This is an inside, desk adjuster position and a hybrid role reporting to our offices in Charlotte-Ballantyne, NC; Woodbury, Long Island; or New Hartford, NY.
  • Investigate, make coverage determination, prepare complete scope and adjust to disposition commercial lines losses.
  • Position requires extensive personal contact with insureds, their legal representatives and customer agents. Occasional contact with law enforcement officials may be required.
  • Operate on an independent basis with limited supervision in handling/settling a high volume of claims within assigned authority.
  • Submit reports within specified time frames as required by the Claims Technical Manual or as required by supervisor or manager.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Conforms with all corporate policies and procedures.

What you need
  • Four year college degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-4 years adjusting experience in first party property line of business.
  • Commercial property claims experience required.

Licensing
Required to obtain your license(s) as an adjuster in the state(s) in which you are assigned to adjust claims. Licensing must be obtained within the timeframe set forth by the Company and must be maintained as needed throughout your employment.
Salary Range: $77,000-$105,000
The final salary to be paid and position within the internal salary range is reflective of the employee's work experience, their geographic location, education, certification(s), scope and responsibilities in the role, and additional qualifications
