Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Location: Rockford, IL

Job Summary:ย We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with 8+ years of expertise in Automated Test Equipment (ATE). The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test systems to validate electrical components and products. This role involves working closely with design and manufacturing teams to ensure efficient testing processes, high product quality, and compliance with safety standards using National Instruments hardware and LabVIEW.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design ATE systems, including schematics, wiring, and control panel layouts
  • Select and integrate test equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, DAQ systems, and sensors
  • Perform system validation, debugging, and troubleshooting to improve performance and reduce downtime
  • Develop and execute test plans for analog, digital, and RF systems; optimize test processes for better yield and cost efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and release
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards such as UL508A, NFPA 79, and OSHA

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 8+ years of experience in ATE, test engineering, or manufacturing environments
  • Strong knowledge of electronics, circuit design, and test instrumentation
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing systems
  • Experience with National Instruments tools; LabVIEW is a plus
