Job description

About 3DE by Junior Achievement
3DE by Junior Achievement is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming high school education. 3DE was designed with and is implemented in partnership with school districts to make high school more relevant, experiential, and connected to the real world through project-based learning, case methodology, and competency development. Our goal is to prepare students for the demands of tomorrow's economy, providing them with the opportunity for a choice-filled life.
Position Summary
The Director, National Implementation Support serves as a strategic implementation partner responsible for helping Senior Directors successfully translate national priorities into consistent, high-quality execution across the 3DE network. Working closely with the Associate Vice Presidents of Launch Development and Operations, this role leads the planning, coordination, and implementation of high-priority initiatives from concept through rollout. The Director develops practical implementation plans, systems, and tools that support organizational priorities while ensuring initiatives are executed consistently, efficiently, and in alignment with the 3DE instructional model.
Success in this role requires strong project management, thoughtful collaboration, and a systems-oriented approach to problem solving. By coordinating cross-functional partners, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, and developing scalable implementation resources, the Director helps bridge strategy and execution while enabling Senior Directors to successfully implement national initiatives within their local communities. This position collaborates regularly with national and local 3DE teams and requires the ability to build strong working relationships across geographically dispersed stakeholders. Occasional travel may be required to support organizational initiatives, planning sessions, and implementation activities.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Implementation
  • Partner closely with the Associate Vice Presidents of Launch Development and Operations to translate strategic priorities into clear, actionable implementation plans that support successful execution across the 3DE network
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of high-priority national initiatives from concept through rollout, ensuring projects remain aligned with organizational goals, established timelines, and implementation expectations
  • Develop project plans, timelines, implementation resources, and communication strategies that provide Senior Directors with the clarity and support needed to execute initiatives successfully.
  • Anticipate implementation risks, identify potential barriers, and proactively recommend solutions that support successful execution and minimize disruption

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Support
  • Serve as a central point of coordination across cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, communication, and shared accountability throughout implementation
  • Build collaborative relationships with Associate Vice Presidents, Senior Directors, and organizational partners to understand implementation needs, gather feedback, and support consistent execution across local communities
  • Facilitate communication among project stakeholders by providing updates, clarifying expectations, tracking dependencies, and helping resolve implementation challenges as they arise.
  • Foster a collaborative implementation process that encourages shared ownership, transparency, and continuous communication across teams

Systems Development & Operational Excellence
  • Develop and maintain implementation tools, templates, resources, and documentation that promote consistency and improve execution across the 3DE network
  • Evaluate existing implementation processes and identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and strengthen organizational consistency
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop practical solutions that address implementation challenges while maintaining fidelity to organizational priorities
  • Document and standardize effective implementation practices to support long-term sustainability and continuous organizational learning

Continuous Improvement & Organizational Learning
  • Collect and incorporate feedback from Senior Directors, Associate Vice Presidents, and cross-functional partners to evaluate the effectiveness of implementation efforts
  • Analyze implementation outcomes, identify trends, and recommend improvements that strengthen execution and implementation effectiveness
  • Use implementation data and stakeholder feedback to refine systems, resources, and processes over time
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance how national initiatives are implemented and supported across the organization

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience leading complex projects, implementation initiatives, or operational improvement efforts in a cross-functional environment
  • Experience working within education, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience translating strategic priorities into actionable implementation plans and successfully managing initiatives from planning through execution
  • Experience coordinating work across multiple stakeholders and building collaborative relationships to achieve shared goals, including influencing outcomes without direct supervisory authority
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, balance competing deadlines, and adapt to changing organizational needs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate expectations, facilitate collaboration, and present information to diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to identify process improvement opportunities and develop practical, scalable solutions that support consistent implementation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to evaluate information, identify implementation challenges, and make thoughtful recommendations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience using project management, collaboration, or workflow management tool

Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies, implementation planning, or organizational change management.
  • Experience supporting geographically dispersed teams or multi-site implementation efforts.
  • Familiarity with the 3DE instructional model or competency-based education is preferred but not required.
  • Experience developing implementation resources, operational tools, or process documentation that support organizational consistency

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $77,000 to $100,000 annually, with the exact salary depending on relevant experience, demonstrated impact, and alignment with the scope and responsibilities of the role.
