Job Purpose

Assist credit union members through the full real estate loan process, from initial assessment of financial needs through loan closing. Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations while maintaining strong communication with members and third party partners including realtors, title companies, and processors.

Key Accountabilities
  • Achieve sales goals by following up on pre approvals, assisting members with loan applications, and providing product recommendations and disclosures
  •  Obtain LP/DU feedback, collect and review supporting documentation, and explain requirements to members
  •  Initiate outbound sales calls, visit branches, participate in homebuyer seminars, and build relationships with realtors and title companies
  •  Lock rates and manage the loan process to ensure timelines are met and a high level of member service is delivered
  •  Participate in ongoing training and mentor team members on real estate loan processes    
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  •  Must meet or have met NMLS requirements

Minimum Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of related experience or relevant training
  •  Working knowledge of state and federal lending regulations
  •  Completion of internal specialized training

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  •  Ability to structure loan offers and interpret regulations, policies, and procedures
  •  Strong member service and communication skills
  •  Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  •  Knowledge of financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports
  •  Understanding of title reports, insurance, and appraisals
  •  Knowledge of secondary market guidelines
