Job Purpose

The Compensation Analyst provides ongoing support and guidance in the administration of company salary and pay programs in accordance with the organization’s reward strategy. The Analyst supports compensation decision-making through research, market studies, and analysis. The effort will include compensation analytics, benchmarking and leveling roles. The Analyst administers multiple compensation projects and programs including, but not limited to, annual merit & bonus programs.

Key Accountabilities
  • Consults and advises region and leaders regarding compensation policy interpretation, new hire offers, promotions, market analysis, job evaluation, and other compensation projects and initiatives.  
  • Administers, supports, and provides advice and analysis for annual Compensation processes, including merit, bonus, LSEP, and NE wage increases, as well as equity/market adjustments and promotions.
  • Conducts job evaluation and assigns compensation grade per Honda’s job evaluation methodology. Analyses jobs for any applicable premiums (geographic and/or functional).
  • Gathers data from market-based compensation surveys and uses spreadsheets and data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends. Prepares and presents recommendations. 
  • Assists in the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs and policies. 
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, related field or equivalent experience required.
  • 0-4 years’ experience based on education.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to develop analytics from multiple data sources, interpret and analyze trends, and develop meaningful recommendations in a logical concise way. 
  • Proficient in MS Office software; advanced Excel skills are critical.
  • Proficient in HR System software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Must be detailed oriented with demonstrated project management capabilities.
Working Conditions
  • Some travel may be required to Honda sites.
  • OT may be required during peak times.
