Job description

Our Electrical Instructor support Amteck's commitment to employee development by delivering technical and professional training across the organization. This role provides classroom instruction, field-based training, and curriculum support while helping employees and apprentices develop the skills needed for long-term success.
The Electrical Instructor serves as a resource for apprentices, collaborates with field leadership to identify training needs, and helps ensure training programs align with Amteck's operational goals and core values.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging classroom and field-based training.
  • Teach National Electrical Code (NEC), electrical theory, and hands-on skills labs.
  • Support apprentices through instruction, mentoring, feedback, and performance documentation.
  • Facilitate study groups, review sessions, and test preparation workshops.
  • Assist with the development and improvement of training materials and curriculum.
  • Travel to project sites and regional offices to provide training and support employee development.
  • Collaborate with field leaders to identify training opportunities and recommend solutions.
  • Track attendance, engagement, and learning outcomes.
  • Support onboarding, technical upskilling, and professional development initiatives.
  • Stay current on industry best practices, code changes, and emerging technologies.
  • Promote Amteck's culture of safety, accountability, and continuous learning.

Qualifications
  • Ability to travel frequently between job sites and offices.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the electrical construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Experience delivering training, mentoring, or instructional content preferred.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
  • Passion for teaching, mentoring, and developing others.
