Overview

Green Bay Dressed Beef Processing, LLC, an American Foods Group Company, has opportunities for a Float at our Northland plant in Green Bay, WI .

As a Float, you will:

  • Cover key positions for Big Line: Jack Operator, salt filler - line operator, blender operator, set up.
  • Cover key positions for Shipping: Forklift operator, shipping and receiving, janitor, formulation of jack operator, sampler, and set up.
  • Lock all equipment before working on it; after locked out follow equipment set up procedures.
  • Report any damaged equipment immediately to the lead person.
  • NOTE: this description is not intended to be all inclusive. An employee may perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization; these duties are considered marginal.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures warm, hot, humid, cold, wet or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).ย 

  • Must be able to perform the job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.ย 

  • Ability to work extended scheduled hours Sunday through Friday with daily overtime. Must be able to work overtime as required.ย  Start times and hours vary based on production needs.
  • Must be able to successfully complete training:ย 

    • Safety.ย 

    • Safe Quality Food (SQF).ย 

    • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).ย 

    • Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP).ย 

    • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).ย 

    • Food defense.ย 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior machine operating experience in a USDA inspected beef, pork, or poultry facility.
  • Prior production experience.
  • Work history in the last 12 months.
