Position Summary:
General labor assists production lines with ensuring inventory is ready for production and supporting clean up and order packing. Serves as a backup for positions within the production department and as temporary help in various departments.
Essential Functions:
  • Opens products for assigned tables as needed or coordinates with Production Management the raw materials needs of production.
  • Performs physical counts on raw materials on a daily basis as needed.
  • Assists with garbage disposal (i.e., boxes/de-bagging materials).
  • Assists with the beef trimmings from steak machines.
  • Maintains excellent quality, sanitation, safety, and production standards. Maintains the facility to meet food safety standards.
  • Will help in wiping off condensation in the production floor when needed.
  • Stacks products on pallets and cooler racks according to the appropriate route and/or order.
  • Prepares completed pallets of product to be loaded on trucks.
  • Maintains stock products in an organized fashion, rotating daily and providing an accurate inventory report to the production management team.
  • Weighs and labels boxes and packages in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Must follow and maintain all Quality Assurance, HACCP, SQF requirements, and Occupational Health and safety regulations.
  • Perform any other duties as required.

  • Ability to follow directions, standard procedures and respond to instructions
  • Ability to solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures.
  • Can communicate in English including reading labels, signs, etc.
