Job description

National Account Sales Manager – Retail

Fresh Mark, based in Northeast Ohio, is seeking an experienced National Account Manager with a background in meat or food categories to support and grow our flagship Sugardale brand. This role is responsible for driving sales and expanding distribution with national and large regional retail grocery customers and distributors.

As part of the Retail Sales team, you will own your accounts, execute growth strategies, and be accountable for increasing volume, distribution, and market share. This position is ideal for a results-driven, disciplined professional who thrives in an entrepreneurial, performance-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute corporate and customer-specific sales strategies
  • Identify customer needs and recommend product solutions to drive category growth
  • Achieve volume, revenue, and margin objectives
  • Analyze distribution, shelf placement, pricing, promotions, and merchandising performance
  • Apply category management principles to grow distribution and market share
  • Partner with Marketing to create effective sales presentations
  • Manage order placement, inventory levels, and delivery timing
  • Oversee brokers and third-party partners to ensure strong return on investment

Qualifications

  • Experience in meat or food-based categories required
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or a related field
  • 4–5 years of experience selling to national or large regional retailers and/or distributors
  • Willingness to travel
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable with technology and learning new systems
