Job description

We are looking for an Experienced Technician for Chicago and suburbs for installation, service calls, preventative maintenance and repair dispatches in the field. Previous experience working as communications technician 2+ years. Travel involves use of employees own vehicle. Business telephone systems and VOIP experience a plus.

Job description: Establishes communications systems by installing, operating, and maintaining Voice, Data, CCTV, and Access Control telecommunications network circuits and equipment. The telco work includes installation of equipment (modems, routers, switches), Demarc extensions, Site cabling, System Installations, as well as working with customer help desks to configure equipment. Requirements: Own a vehicle, 6-8' ladder, Smartphone, Laptop computer, Butt Set, Pair tester, and Basic Telecom tools. Possess a high level of independent judgment within established procedures. Complete understanding of the physical layer, CAT 5, 66 blocks, 110 blocks, patch panels.

Position requires daily travel to work sites. Must possess a valid driver's license and proof of insurance, Reliable transportation, Speak English and provide excellent customer service.
