Job description

NASCAR seeks a professional to join our team as a Part-Time Security Specialist.

This role supports the Corporate Security team by helping ensure NASCAR-sanctioned facilities meet established security standards. The Part-Time Security Specialist assists with facility assessments, event-day security operations, and coordination with internal teams and external agencies. This position plays a key role in maintaining a safe environment for guests, employees, and stakeholders during race events.

Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Support security operations at NASCAR-sanctioned events, including on-site presence and coordination
  • Assist with executive protection and special assignments as needed
  • Respond to and document incidents, preparing clear written reports
  • Conduct assessments of sanctioned facilities against NASCAR security standards
  • Assist in maintaining and improving security procedures and protocols
  • Support the protection of corporate assets and sensitive information
  • Serve as a liaison with local law enforcement and public safety agencies during events
  • Communicate security-related information to internal teams and partners
  • Maintain awareness of emerging security practices and technologies
Required skills / experience:
  • Prior law enforcement experience (current or retired) required
  • Ability to meet Federal HR 218 requirements
  • Ability to maintain required certifications (firearms, medical, licensing)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong judgment and ability to respond effectively in dynamic environments
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working outdoors and in event-based environments
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work weekends/holidays aligned with the race schedule
