Position Summary

The Senior .NET Software Engineer serves as a key technical contributor supporting motorsports technology systems across race operations, enterprise platforms, and cloud infrastructure. This role operates at the intersection of software engineering, cloud architecture, and live event systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance of mission-critical applications.

This position is designed for an experienced engineer who thrives in dynamic environments, can manage shifting priorities, and is capable of troubleshooting complex issues across application, infrastructure, and operational domains. While .NET expertise is central, this role requires the ability to operate across cloud platforms, networking environments, and real-time systems that support race execution.

The Senior Software Engineer contributes to both strategic development initiatives and operational system support, including live-event or near-live environments where precision and reliability are essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Software Engineering & Architecture

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using .NET / C#.
  • Architect scalable, secure solutions across multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, OCI).
  • Develop APIs, integration services, and distributed systems supporting race operations and enterprise platforms.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of mission-critical systems.
  • Contribute to system design decisions, technical standards, and modernization initiatives.

Cloud & Infrastructure Collaboration

  • Partner with infrastructure and cloud teams to implement and support cloud-based solutions.
  • Contribute to cloud architecture planning and system modernization efforts.
  • Support hybrid and multi-cloud deployments across enterprise environments.
  • Assist in implementing monitoring, logging, and performance optimization strategies.

Operational & Cross-Functional Support

  • Provide technical support for systems used in race operations, including timing & scoring and technical inspection (scrutineering).
  • Troubleshoot issues across application, database, networking, and cloud layers.
  • Support live-event or near-live systems, ensuring operational continuity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve system issues and maintain alignment.
  • Manage shifting priorities between development initiatives and operational support needs.

System Reliability & Performance

  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify risks or failures.
  • Implement improvements to enhance system stability, scalability, and resilience.
  • Support incident response and post-incident analysis efforts.
  • Ensure systems meet enterprise standards for security, governance, and compliance.

What This Role Does Not Include

Does not serve as a dedicated infrastructure or network engineering role.

  • Networking fundamentals and secure system design
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale, mission-critical systems.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently within a structured enterprise environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in motorsports, sports technology, or event-based systems.
  • Familiarity with timing & scoring systems or similar real-time data platforms.
  • Understanding of scrutineering or technical inspection workflows.
  • Experience with real-time data processing and event-driven architectures.
  • DevOps experience including CI/CD, containerization, Kubernetes, or infrastructure-as-code.
  • Experience supporting live events or broadcast-integrated systems.
