Job description

Saalex Corporation is seeking multiple Systems Engineer III in Tidewater, VA and San Diego, CA. Saalex Corp., is an Engineering and Information Technology Services company with a focus on Test Range Operations and Management, Engineering and Logistics Services, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Services and Information Technology Services. Founded in 1999 by Travis Mack, Saalex Solutions is a Service Disabled Veteran-Owned and Operated business with prime and subcontract expertise serving the Navy, Army, Air Force, NASA, corporate clients, and local governments. Saalex offers competitive compensation, career development, flexible work schedules and excellent benefits.

Position Type: Contingent on Contract Award.

Salary: $110k-$180k (depending on experience)

The Systems Engineer III supports the Navy by designing, engineering, and integrating enterprise IT systems and architectures across global Live Virtual Constructive (LVC) environments. 

Essential Functions:

  • Design and implement enterprise system architectures. 
  • Lead system integration and engineering efforts. 
  • Develop system specifications and engineering artifacts. 
  • Support RMF/ATO processes. 
  • Provide technical leadership. 
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

Required:

  • 5-7 years of experience in relevant field. 
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • Experience supporting enterprise IT environments. 
  • Knowledge of RMF, STIGs, and DoD environments. 

Desired:

  • Experience supporting DoD or Navy programs. 
  • Familiarity with virtualization, cloud, or enterprise systems. 
  • Relevant certifications (Security+, RHCSA, AWS, etc.).

Additional Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to work in complex environments. 

Security Clearance:

  • Must be eligible to obtain a Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI clearance. Active clearances preferred. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
