To excel in a NACI Clearance support role (such as Personnel Security Specialist handling NACI investigations), you need careful attention to detail, a strong understanding of background investigation processes, and experience with federal security standards. Familiarity with investigation management systems, such as e-QIP and JPAS, and knowledge of relevant security forms and compliance procedures are critical. Strong organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to communicate effectively with applicants and agencies help you stand out in this position. These competencies ensure thorough, accurate, and timely background checks, which are critical for maintaining trusted federal operations.

What is a Naci Clearance?

A NACI (National Agency Check with Inquiries) clearance job requires a background investigation conducted by the U.S. government for positions of public trust. This clearance is typically needed for federal employees and contractors who do not require a security clearance but still handle sensitive information. The investigation includes criminal history checks, employment verification, and other relevant background reviews. NACI clearance is the lowest level of background investigation for federal positions.
