F-35 Inventory/Material (Tool Room) Technician – 3

Job Description

This position is a part of the ICS aircraft maintenance team, supporting the F-35 maintenance operations at Luke AFB, AZ. The F-35 Inventory/Material (Tool Room) Technician – 3 will issue and maintain the tool room's equipment/materials in coordination with the various programs that support the F-35 aircraft maintenance activities. The responsibilities of the Tool Room Technician include, but are not limited to, issuing tool/test equipment to support aircraft maintenance, monitoring tool calibration schedules, performing inspections to ensure tool/equipment serviceability, documenting & replacing any broken tools, conducting daily inventories of tool room assets, and the ordering/receiving of parts/equipment. Additionally, the individual will be required to carry out various government supply warehouse procedures and be knowledgeable of Supply, HazMat, Training, Quality, FOD, and Security programs. They will also monitor Hazardous Material (HazMat) usage, document HazMat expenditures into the Hazardous Material Management System, store and manage HazMat, and coordinate with Base HazMat Pharmacy for ordering HazMat materials, and provide maintainers with necessary Safety Data Sheets (SDS) of HazMat materials. Provide On-The-Job training to employees and/or government personnel as it pertains to tool room and maintenance support operations. The individual must possess a valid driver's license and be able to pass requirements for operating forklifts and delivery trucks to transport tools, parts, and equipment. Additional responsibilities also include upkeep of the support areas such as Tool Room areas. They will receive additional direction from the Tool Room Lead and/or onsite maintenance manager/supervisor, as well as supporting the continuity of operations plan in the event that host unit tracking program or the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) is unavailable. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Must be able to obtain, at minimum, an Interim Secret Clearance to start. Physical Requirements: This may include certain military required health screenings and immunizations. This position regularly requires to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist. Confined Space Entry. Position may also require extended work hours.

Basic Qualifications

* 4 Years experience in 5 or 7-skill level US Air Force AFSC, US Navy NEC, or US Marine Corps MOS aircraft maintenance related discipline or equivalent civilian experience * Experience with programs such as Tool Control / Accountability, Hazardous Waste Management, Safety, Training, FOD, Security, or Supply Chain Management * Must have a valid Driver's License and be able to pass forklift operating requirements. * Must be able to obtain, at minimum, an Interim Secret Clearance to start.

Desired Skills

* Experience in Fifth Generation Aircraft Maintenance / Supply Chain Management / Tool Room * Working experience and/or knowledge of Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) or Integrated Maintenance Information System (IMIS) * Involvement in Portable Maintenance Aid (PMA) activities such as aircraft forms documentation and supply chain management activities * Ability to coordinate with Item Managers, Supply Service Providers, and Maintenance Logistics Support Manager on logistics issues as they arise * Knowledgeable of Supply, HazMat, Training, Quality, Foreign Object Debris (FOD), and Security programs * Familiarity with OSHA, AFOSH, NAVOSH, and state safety and health standards and regulations * Experience and understanding of Air Force Instruction (AFI) 21-101 * Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) * Capable of rapidly assimilating and utilizing multiple versions of asset controlling software and programs * Knowledge of the USAF Hazardous Material Management System * Practical knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) * Working knowledge of barcode readers * Forklift Certified

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $20.53 - $38.13

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
