Position Overview:
TEAM is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced NACE Inspector to perform inspections in accordance with standards and designated equipment. The position performs NACE inspections per TEAM Industrial Services procedures and best practices in accordance with NACE IWE and IWL along with customer requirements and procedures. NACE Inspectors will conduct various aspects of quality control and inspection activities associated with the oversight and management of both field and shop level industrial coating activities on water & wastewater tanks, and steel structures. This could include the removal of the existing coatings, and could include full containment of Lead Abatement.
Essential Job Functions
  • Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concern
  • Performs all duties as assigned and adheres to TEAM's Core Values and Seven Critical Choices.
  • Performs internal and external inspections on equipment at scheduled intervals to maintain the mechanical integrity of fixed equipment.
  • Recommends and approves repairs as well as performs visual inspection of completed repair work.
  • Performs inspection work in confined spaces while wearing full containment suit & full facial mask.
  • Comprehends containment & coatings work plan development in specifications and prevailing standards
  • Uses film thickness gages and surface micron meters.
  • Assists in scheduling activities related to inspection.
  • Writes detailed inspection and turnaround reports, and maintains documentation of inspection activities.
  • Identifies circumstances that necessitate the use of proper safety procedures and equipment.
  • Communicates and deals with customers and other parties in such a manner as to benefit the professional reputation of the company. This communication is in person at the plant / job site.
  • Completes all required training, including tests, within Company guidelines.
  • Performs necessary filing of customer and company job related forms and paperwork.

Job Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Technical school or other related training preferred.
  • Previous industry related experience preferred.
  • Must possess valid NACE certification.
  • Must possess valid Driver's License.
  • Travel requirement: 0% - 50%.

Work Conditions
  • Position is based out of a branch or site location.
  • Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere.
  • Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and client personnel.
  • Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
  • Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
  • May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes.
  • May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
  • Candidate must be capable of climbing, working at high elevations and working in confined spaces.

Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds.
  • Must be able to walk and climb except when performing non-field duties.
