Cybersecurity Specialist/Analyst

Location: San Diego, CA - Naval Base Pt. Loma
Work Type: Full-Time, Hybrid

Clearance Requirement: Secret, (TS/SCI preferred or ability to obtain TS/SCI)

Position Description:

Cybersecurity Analyst, reporting to the Cybersecurity Team Lead. You will provide security and engineering subject matter expertise and analysis as it pertains to Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) resiliency matters.

From strategic planning to advanced analytics and cybersecurity, our team provides cutting-edge, cross-disciplinary solutions. Duties and Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Security Analysis:
    • Perform Cyber Resiliency analysis on candidate waveforms hosted on tactical Software Defined Radios (SDRs), ensuring that the security requirements of communications systems are met.
    • Assist in the review of individual focus area (security, protection, resiliency) waveform analyses inputs.
    • Research the latest methodologies and maintain processes for SDR Waveform Cyber Resiliency analysis.
  • Technical Support & Collaboration:
    • Provide support for system security engineering, which requires a foundational understanding of cybersecurity, electronic protection, and technology protection.
    • Support the implementation and documentation of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process for tactical radio overlays.
    • Participate in team meetings, technical reviews, and stakeholder engagements to provide cybersecurity insights.
    • Maintain technical relationships with external vendors and DoD organizations involved in tactical SDR waveforms.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Assist in the development and review of technical white papers, presentations, and reports supporting Cyber Resiliency tasks.
    • Contribute to weekly status reports and provide updates on assigned tasks to team leadership.
    • Support the review and update of Security Team standard operating procedure (SOP) documents as required.
  • Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Cybersecurity, Applied Science, Computing, or another related technical discipline.
  • 1-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Security Classification Guides (SCG).
  • Knowledge of Software Defined Radios (SDRs), waveforms, and Radio Frequency (RF) communications concepts.
  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition life cycle management policies and practices is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and in writing.
  • Ability to manage and process multiple tasks concurrently and work with other team members to accomplish complex tasks.
  • Ability to travel to the NSA.
