Job Purpose:
The NDT Level II Technician is responsible for performing inspections, utilizing a variety of non-destructive testing methods on company aircraft and components.
Responsibilities:
  • Execute the tests using the procedures and methods to determine maximum quality of the product
  • Perform inspection duties, organize, and generate reports pertaining to inspection and evaluation
  • Prepare reports on all testing and evaluations to the appropriate department
  • Ensure that the equipment used for testing is functioning correctly and in accordance with all applicable safety regulations
  • Perform daily system performance tests on equipment to ensure compliance with NDT standards
  • Interpret and perform cleaning procedures prior to NDT Inspections
  • Additional duties as assigned

Skills/Qualifications:
  • Experience with aircraft related NDT (ultrasonic and eddy current required)
  • Must be able to provide documented proof of previous training and qualification to meet the requirements on NAS 410 level II in the following methods:
    • Ultrasonic (preferred)
    • Eddy Current (required)
    • Fluorescent Penetrant (required)
    • Magnetic Particle (required)
  • 3-5 years + experience working in aerospace industry
  • FAA A&P License is strongly preferred
  • High School education or GED required; some college is preferred
  • Ability to read and comprehend written materials, write legibly, and perform basic math calculations accurately
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to:
    • Crawl in and out of tight spaces
    • Comfortably work at elevated heights of at least 40 feet for extended periods of time
    • Lift, balance and carry up to 25 lbs.
    • Work in enclosed hangars and exterior weather conditions
