As a Marketing Automation Specialist, you will play a hands-on role in translating business strategy into real-time customer journeys using Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO). You will lead all phases of the automated campaign lifecycle-from ideation to launch-by developing and optimizing Next Best Action (NBA) journeys that meet customer needs and deliver measurable business outcomes. Post-launch, you will monitor automated performance, gather feedback, and iterate to ensure workflows remain effective and relevant across distinct customer segments.
Role Responsibilities
  • Journey Configuration & Execution: Configure, test, deploy, and iterate automated personalized journeys and campaigns in Adobe Journey Optimizer based on Next Best Action (NBA) strategy and business requirements.
  • Audience Segmentation: Collaborate with data analytics teams to build, refine, and validate audience segments in Adobe Experience Platform using real-time behavioral signals and profile attributes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with lifecycle marketers, data scientists, and channel leads to activate journey logic and improve targeting effectiveness.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous QA across marketing automation and campaign components, including event setups, wait steps, personalization rules, and cross-channel triggers.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor automated system performance, resolve execution issues, and partner with analytics teams to refine logic and improve outcomes.
  • Platform Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for AJO and AEP capabilities, and support upskilling efforts across the broader marketing operations team.
  • Governance & Best Practices: Contribute to platform governance, best practices, and continuous improvement in automated journey orchestration.

  • Deliver real-time, personalized customer journeys and automated campaigns that enhance engagement and satisfaction.
  • Ensure accurate, compliant, and effective execution of NBA logic across digital and offline channels.
  • Drive operational excellence through hands-on system configuration, QA, and platform stewardship.
  • Champion innovation and continuous improvement in marketing operations and customer experience.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field, OR 3-5 years of experience working within a marketing campaign delivery team.
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing operations, lifecycle marketing, or digital campaign execution.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience configuring journeys and workflows in Adobe Journey Optimizer, Adobe Experience Platform, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar enterprise marketing automation platforms.
  • Strong understanding of automated customer journey logic, event triggers, decision orchestration, and personalization rules.
  • Effective communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
  • Comfort working in agile, pod-based, or cross-functional environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Adobe certifications in Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) or Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO).
  • Familiarity with Adobe Real-Time CDP, XDM schemas, or event tagging.
  • Experience working in highly regulated industries such as healthcare or financial services.
  • Technical exposure to JSON, event payloads, or API-driven personalization.
  • Experience with responsive email design and digital accessibility standards.
  • Solid understanding of Next Best Action (NBA) personalization logic frameworks.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $52.78 to $58.62 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
