POSITION:  MySQL & Oracle DBA
REQUISITION:  ORA-2252-04.021823
LOCATION:  Ft. Meade, Maryland
 
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Candidate will be providing Oracle database administration support in a production environment.
 
• Eight (8+) years of experience administering to, and engineering solutions with MySQL and Oracle’s database (10 – 12). Extensive experience with database design and modeling; as well as, the collection and interpretation of customer requirements relevant to database migration, troubleshooting, performance observation and tuning.
• Installing and configuring new MySQL servers (5.x and 8.x)
• Upgrading MySQL databases, both major and minor revisions
• Administering MySQL account access, backups and table spaces
• Migrating MySQL databases
• Monitoring MySQL server performance
• Significant experience with the production and deployment of RAC, RMAN backup & recovery desired
• Experience with Streams / GoldenGate, DB security, DB Guard and / or DB Vault, Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control, label security, and data migration desired
• Occasional after hours call-in required on an as needed basis.
•  Must be an independent worker with strong communications skills.

LABOR CATEGORY QUALIFICATIONSTABLE : Managing/Senior Principal Consultant
•  Designs and implements individual components of the Oracle products based on area of expertise.
•   Analyzes detailed requirements and develops detailed design for a specific Oracle product or technology.
• Provides implementation services for a specific product to include extensions and additional configurations necessary to implement customer unique business processes and workflows.
• Performs routine health checks and optimizations of system performance, availability, access controls and security.
• Performs system optimization, performance tuning and assists in capacity planning.
• Performs proactive analysis of potential issues, risks and roadblocks during system implementation and operations.

     CERTIFICATION:   CompTIA  IAT, Level 2 Certified
     EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE:  
•  Bachelor’s Degree + 8 years of database experience, OR
• No Degree + 12 years of database experience.
 
NOTE: BS in CS or related course of study, or equivalent year’s experience.
