About the role:
WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for a Nameplate Support Tech to join our team in Duluth, GA. This role provides support functions to internal customers for the successful completion of nameplate requests.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Present a positive welcoming interface through professional and compassionate attitude which encourages a strong internal customer confidence in the team's devotion to the customer experience
  • Become a proficient operator of the mylar and laser nameplate machines to sufficiently act as a backup and support daily requests.
  • Evaluate and analyze all nameplate template submittals to translate into correct physical nameplates.
  • Proactively involve engineering or management in equipment upkeep and upgrades. Drive collaboration to ensure no gaps in performance occur.
  • Responsible for maintaining the nameplate procedures and identifying potential improvements.
  • Responsible to continually update personal knowledge of nameplate creation process.
  • Participates in special projects, as determined by management.
  • Provides training and mentoring to team members, as appropriate.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Education:
  • High School diploma or GED. An Associate's degree in a directly relevant field and/or 2 to 5 years of direct experience with WEG low voltage motors is desired.

Knowledge / training:
  • Functional Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience relevant to electrical and/or mechanical industries.
  • Knowledge of SAP, AUTOCAD LITE, and LABELVIEW preferred.

Experience:
  • 0-5 years of related experience.
