Job description

Job Title: EPIC Techno-Functional Consultant
Location: Remote
Duration: 6+ Months
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Epic Techno-Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Epic Tapestry and MyChart modules. The ideal candidate will have a balanced understanding of both functional workflows and technical configuration, with hands-on experience in Tapestry configuration, integrations, testing, and production support.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure and support Epic Tapestry module including benefit plans, payer setup, and reimbursement workflows
  • Work on Epic MyChart configuration and enhancements to improve patient engagement and usability
  • Manage and support Epic Tapestry Link integrations with external payer systems
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements from stakeholders
  • Perform system configuration, unit testing, and integration testing
  • Coordinate and execute UAT (User Acceptance Testing) with business users
  • Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes in a timely manner
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including clinical, billing, and IT teams
  • Support system upgrades, patches, and enhancements in Epic environment
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and organizational policies

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience working as an Epic Consultant
  • Strong hands-on experience with Epic Tapestry configuration
  • Experience with Epic MyChart module (configuration and support)
  • Knowledge of Epic Tapestry Link (payer connectivity/integration)
  • Experience in requirement gathering and stakeholder communication
  • Strong experience in testing (unit, integration, UAT)
  • Hands-on experience in production support and issue resolution
  • Understanding of healthcare workflows, especially payer and revenue cycle
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Epic Certification in Tapestry and/or MyChart
  • Experience with Epic implementations or upgrades
  • Knowledge of HL7 interfaces or healthcare integrations
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies

Soft Skills:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Good stakeholder management skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities
