THE JOB: As an on call Sportsbook Mutuel Clerk, you'll play a key role in creating an exciting and seamless experience for our guests. From assisting with wagers to accurately handling transactions, your attention to detail and friendly service will help set the tone for a fun and energetic environment. With your strong collaboration skills and guest-centric mindset, you will help ensure the smooth operation of the sportsbook.

THE STARTING RATE: $17 plus tips THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Write, verify, and make payments on tickets for race and sports wagers in accordance with department policy and procedures and ensure compliance to applicable jurisdictional gaming statues and regulations
  • Maintain a cash bank for his/her shift, responsible for accepting payment and making correct change when necessary
  • Stock Race & Sports book Writer/Cashier's stations with adequate supplies; keep all stations neat and clean
  • Make payments on winning tickets in an accurate and timely manner; verify tickets and payoffs
  • Maintain and reconcile bank for assigned shift, following established cash-handling policies and procedures
  • Explain wagering rules, including betting lines and odds, and procedures to guests
  • Create and enter player tracking cards
  • Ensure the protection of customer's rewards and adherence to credit lines
  • Notify management of escalated or prevalent guest issues/concerns and any apparent suspicious activity

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma, or GED
