Job description

The Fund Accounting Pricing Analyst is a reviewer-level position responsible for supporting a variety of fund valuation activities related to daily Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations. The primary objective of this role is to ensure the accurate valuation and pricing of securities and investment portfolios held within mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and other investment vehicles. The analyst performs price validations, investigates and resolves pricing exceptions, and supports adherence to internal controls, valuation policies, and regulatory requirements.

This role works closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery of fund valuations. Responsibilities: Review, validate, and maintain pricing data for equities, fixed income securities, derivatives, and other financial instruments. Investigate, analyze, and resolve pricing exceptions, stale prices, and valuation discrepancies.

Support daily, weekly, and monthly Net Asset Value (NAV) production and valuation processes. Perform price source comparisons and evaluate pricing vendor feeds to ensure data accuracy and completeness. Escalate material valuation issues, pricing discrepancies, and operational risks to management and clients, as appropriate.

Ensure compliance with fund accounting policies, valuation procedures, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. Reconcile security prices across custodians, fund administrators, internal systems, and pricing vendors. Prepare management reports, pricing analytics, key metrics, and exception summaries.

Participate in process improvement initiatives, automation efforts, and system enhancement projects to increase operational efficiency and reduce risk. Collaborate with global operations teams, fund accountants, and external service providers to resolve valuation-related issues. Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation, responding to inquiries, and ensuring adherence to established procedures and controls.

Review and validate pricing-related workflows and controls to ensure compliance with departmental policies and service-level agreements (SLAs). Qualifications: 2-5 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, fund accounting, or a related business discipline. Working knowledge of investment products, financial instruments, and financial market practices.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze large datasets, perform complex reconciliations, identify exceptions, and develop reporting and analytical solutions. Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
