Insomniac produces some of the most innovative, immersive music festivals and events in the world. THE ROLE

Insomniac is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Video Editor, to join the creative content department in Los Angeles. The Video Editor will play a crucial role in the post-production process of Insomniac films and videos by creating meaningful compelling videos. This position reports to the Director of Post Production.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Edit engaging video content for festivals, brand marketing, trailers, social media, and promotional campaigns

Assemble and cut footage into clean, compelling edits that follow creative direction, music pacing, and brand style

Organize project media, timelines, and assets to maintain efficient and consistent post-production workflows

Collaborate with producers, senior editors, and marketing teams to implement notes and refine edits through multiple review rounds

Execute basic finishing tasks including music syncing, sound design, simple motion graphics integration, and preparing cuts for review

Create versions of edits for multiple formats and platforms (16:9, 9:16, 4:3, square, etc.) as required for distribution

Maintain organized project files and prepare deliverables for archiving, publishing, and handoff to other teams

Assist with asset preparation, media exports, and other post-production tasks as needed to support larger editorial projects

QUALIFICATIONS

3-5+ years professional experience in video editing for digital media, branded content, or entertainment

Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro with solid understanding of editing fundamentals and media organization

Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Photoshop for basic motion graphics and visual enhancements

Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and music-driven editing

Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment

Strong attention to detail and ability to implement feedback quickly and accurately

Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with producers, editors, and cross-functional teams

Self-motivated and organized with the ability to take direction and execute tasks efficiently

Salary Pay Range: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 USD
