Description:
Nazareth University invites applicants for the position of Assistant Professor of Music Therapy, to begin in August, 2025. This is a full-time, 9-month, tenure track position with opportunity to teach summer courses under an additional contract. Teaching responsibilities will be in the undergraduate and graduate program, including research courses and graduate thesis. The successful applicant will be expected to assume responsibilities for graduate program director within one year of employment. Candidates must have a terminal degree in music therapy or a related field (ABD considered), and a minimum of five years of clinical experience. A New York State License in Creative Arts Therapy (LCAT) is preferred; applicants without LCAT will be expected to obtain licensure prior to tenure. Applicants with expertise in culturally relevant clinical practice and teaching, behavioral health, and/or supporting student research are especially sought for this position.
