Embracing Abilities,Inc is a family owned Indiana Medicaid waiver provider. We serve individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities from birth to adulthood. We provide services across Indiana in homes and our west (Avon) clinic. We are seeking an enthusiastic; Board-Certified Music Therapist to travel and conduct music therapy sessions with clients in their homes or be clinic based at our West or North locations. Music Therapist must be able to effectively communicate with other professionals, conduct assessments, program plan, implement, document, and evaluate treatment.


Music Therapist will provide weekly one on one music therapy sessions in a home or clinic setting and communicate with family members and team members for the purpose of enhancing quality of life. Music Therapist will participate in quarterly meetings along with other community opportunities. We are looking for a Music Therapist who excels in a work environment that focuses on team work, problem solving and innovation of new programs. This a fantastic opportunity with a growing company and a new innovative music therapy program. This position is great for you if you seek advancement opportunities and like to creative programs/classes/groups/etc.


*This position is in Indiana with no remote work. You must reside and provide services in the state of Indiana.*

Requirements:
  • Board Certified Music Therapist MT-BC
  • Hold a minimum bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. The degree must be in music therapy.
  • Experience or training in the field of intellectual/developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to work as a team member within a residential, clinical or community setting.
  • Ability to drive with a valid driver’s license and insurance with $50,000/$100,000 minimum coverage.
  • Ability to work with assigned clients as well as the ability to train and mentor others. This training may include lifting, transferring and physical management.
  • Experience preferred
  • Ability to work after school hours as needed to meet the needs of school aged children (3pm-6pm)
  • No non-compete clause
