Experienced Staff Accountant (Music/Entrainment Industry) - Up to $75K Salary + Paid OT + Bonus

Reports To: Business Manager

We are one of the leading music and entertainment Business Management firms in Nashville. The firm is growing (25% over the last 2 years) which is why we're looking to add a few experienced Staff accountants to our growing team!

Position Summary:

The Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the client's financial records. This individual will support monthly close processes, reconcile accounts, prepare journal entries, and assist with royalty accounting and reporting specific to the music industry.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end close
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts for multiple clients
  • Assist with preparing financial statements and internal reports
  • Support accounts payable and receivable functions for multiple entities
  • Maintain and organize financial records and documentation
  • Identify and suggest process improvements for efficiency and accuracy
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and music industry trends affecting financial reporting


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 1+ years of accounting experience (entertainment or music industry experience not required)
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
