Job description

The Musco Warranty Team has an opening for a Troubleshooting Specialist at our Oskaloosa office. This position will maintain all Musco product in the field, both warranty and non-warranty covered, to keep operational. You will provide frontline support to customers and the Musco Team, being the technical resource for Musco products. If your experience aligns with the qualifications outlined below, we look forward to hearing from you!

  • Associates degree in electronics is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 yearsโ€™ experience working with electrical installations and troubleshooting in a commercial or light industrial environment a plus
  • Experience with control systems, project management, and technical support is a plus
  • Must be knowledgeable on technical lingo associated with electronic systems and/or communications including one or more of the following โ€“ cellular, Ethernet, fiber, and networking or have the ability to learn
  • Working knowledge of single phase and three phase electrical power and DC electrical applications, or have the ability to learn
  • Strong analytical, technical, and problem solving skills
  • Strong internet and computer experience including Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to work under deadlines and handle pressure while multi-tasking
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize issues/projects; strong organizational skills with attentiveness to detail
  • Basic knowledge of Musco systems, products, and services a plus
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code and Standards a plus
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Provide courteous and effective frontline telephone support services in response to technical problem solving and electrical troubleshooting to customers, electrical contractors, Musco technicians, and internal services team and escalated calls from Control-Link staff
  • Identify and report new and ongoing product performance issues and develop processes to aid in up front detection and troubleshooting of these issues and assist in creating manuals and training other team members on these methods
  • Work closely with the internal Musco team to maintain the highest quality of customer service
  • Effectively manage product performance related issues from first contact through problem resolution
  • Effectively utilize Musco specific computer applications for accurate logging, tracking, and routing of call reports and service orders
Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm and on-call every 6-7 weeks.
