Job description

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is looking for a board certified or board eligible allergist-immunologist to join our team in coastal Charleston, SC, on a clinician-educator track. The chosen physician will join MUSCs Division of Pulmonology, Allergy, and Immunology in the Department of Pediatrics where our faculty enjoy rewarding and diverse careers, which include clinical care, research, and involvement in our mission to educate future physician-leaders.   

Ideal candidates will be: 

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Allergy and Immunology 
  • Committed to MUSCs educational and research missions, and to teaching our pediatric fellows, residents, and medical students 

About our opportunity: 

  • Provide primarily outpatient care for children and adults, while also providing pediatric allergy and immunology inpatient consultation services 
  • Join a collaborative and intellectually stimulating and growing team of 3 allergy and immunology faculty members (all are pediatric trained) 
  • Work at a Jeffrey Modell Foundation designated Diagnostic and Research Center for Primary Immunodeficiencies 
  • Enjoy great collaborative relationships with subspecialists, including those in pulmonology, cardiology, rheumatology, dermatology, ENT, gastroenterology, and nutrition  
  • EPIC medical record platform 
  • Pursuing individual scholarly interests is encouraged and supported
