About MUSC Health Orangeburg:

MUSC Health Orangeburg Primary Care and Obstetrics is located at 1747 Village Park, Orangeburg, SC 29118. We are welcoming 4 residents in June 2026.

MUSC Health - Orangeburg Medical Center is a 286-bed acute care hospital, operating as a full-service extension of the state's leading academic health system. It provides vital emergency, primary, and specialized medical services to Orangeburg and the surrounding rural counties.

Required Qualifications:

  • BC/BE in Family Medicine Obstetrics

  • Unrestricted SC licensure and federal and state-controlled substance registration

  • Demonstrated interest in the education of residents

  • Compassion, professionalism, and dedication to lifelong learning

  • Collaborative and collegial demeanor with commitment to high-quality patient care

Position Highlights:

  • Collaborate with the Residency Program Director to directly impact the organization, implementation, and continued improvement of the new training program

  • Split time between educational, administrative, and clinical care

  • Serve as a role model, mentor, and advisor to residents in the program

  • Participate in the selection, orientation, and evaluation of residents

  • Contribute to the development of program curriculum and evaluation tools

  • Provide appropriate levels of resident supervision to ensure patient safety

  • Assist with the incorporation and application of ACGME Milestones into evaluation tools

  • Participate in program evaluation and clinical competency committees

  • Prepare and deliver structured educational activities

  • Actively participate in faculty development initiatives
