EOD Munitions Support Technician
D2 Government Solutions, Inc.
Location: Tyndall AFB, FL
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Summary
D2 Government Solutions is seeking a qualified EOD Munitions Support Technician to provide munitions management, explosive safety, range support, controlled area oversight, and environmental compliance support for Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and Counter-Small Tactical Robotics (CSTR) training operations.
This position is responsible for ensuring the accountability, storage, issuance, transportation, and security of munitions and explosives while maintaining compliance with Department of Defense, Air Force, and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive EOD experience, strong organizational skills, and expertise in explosive safety and munitions management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Munitions Accountability and Management
  • Manage EOD munitions accounts and ensure accountability of explosives, ordnance, and related materials.
  • Coordinate the receipt, storage, issuance, transportation, and disposal of munitions in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct periodic audits to verify accountability and compliance.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and security of explosive materials and associated equipment.
Explosive and Ground Safety Program Management
  • Support and administer explosive and ground safety programs for EOD operations and training.
  • Ensure compliance with Department of the Air Force, Department of Defense, and federal safety requirements.
  • Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and operational reviews to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Prepare and deliver safety briefings and promote a culture of safety throughout training operations.
  • Monitor corrective actions and maintain documentation related to safety inspections, incidents, and training requirements.
Training Records and Compliance
  • Review and maintain training and safety documentation for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Monitor records including safety certifications, training documentation, and required compliance forms.
  • Support inspection readiness efforts and assist in preparing for Government evaluations and compliance reviews.
  • Ensure programs and procedures meet applicable inspection and audit standards.
Controlled Area and Physical Security Oversight
  • Manage controlled area requirements for explosive storage facilities.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure physical security measures remain effective and compliant.
  • Coordinate maintenance and corrective actions with facility management personnel as needed.
  • Safeguard munitions, explosives, and hazardous materials from loss, theft, damage, or unauthorized access.
Range Operations Support
  • Oversee the readiness, maintenance, and operational support of explosive training ranges.
  • Coordinate inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities required to maintain operational capability.
  • Support instructors and training personnel by ensuring range resources and explosives are available to meet training requirements.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of training events requiring munitions and explosive materials.
Environmental Program Support
  • Support environmental compliance programs related to explosive operations.
  • Track explosive expenditures and maintain required records and documentation.
  • Assist with manifesting requirements, disposal coordination, and permit tracking activities.
  • Ensure environmental responsibilities are performed in accordance with applicable regulations and policies.
Training and Operational Support
  • Assist with equipment inventories, accountability, issue, and recovery activities.
  • Assemble and maintain training aids and equipment used in EOD and CSTR training.
  • Perform road guard duties during explosive operations to maintain range safety and prevent unauthorized access.
  • Operate approved training simulators and devices to support realistic training scenarios and exercises.
  • Provide general support to training and operational activities as required.
Information Security
  • Handle, store, process, and safeguard classified, unclassified, and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Comply with all security requirements related to Government systems, facilities, and operations.

Minimum Qualifications
Required
  • Graduate of the Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal (NAVSCOLEOD) or equivalent training program.
  • Documentation verifying graduation and military service, if applicable.
  • Prior EOD technician with a minimum Senior EOD Badge.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Air Force EOD operations and procedures at the flight level.
  • Experience supporting explosive safety, munitions management, or range operations.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and recordkeeping skills.
  • Ability to conduct safety briefings and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain eligibility for a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Honorable discharge from military service, if prior military.
Preferred
  • Experience with Air Force munitions storage, accountability, and inventory management programs.
  • Familiarity with explosive safety regulations and inspection requirements.
  • Experience supporting military training ranges and explosive operations.
  • Knowledge of environmental compliance programs related to munitions and hazardous materials.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions.
  • Ability to lift, move, transport, and handle munitions, equipment, and training materials safely.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform duties in operational and training environments for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely work in environments involving explosives and hazardous materials while adhering to safety requirements.
