Job description

Job Title: Substitute School Police Officer
Location: Knoch School District
Employment Type: Part-Time, As Needed (Daylight and Afternoon/Evening Hours)

Position Summary

The Knoch School District is currently accepting applications for part-time substitute School Police Officers to provide coverage during both daylight and afternoon/evening shifts during events and activities, as needed. This position is essential in maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors across the district.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Graduate of the Pennsylvania State Police Academy, Municipal Police Officer Education and Training Commission (MPOETC), or other recognized police officer certification program.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as one of the following:
    • Pennsylvania State Police Officer
    • Municipal Police Officer
    • School Police Officer
    • Other certified police officer
  • Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.
  • Completion of legal updates, threat assessment, and violent critical incident training.
  • Weapons proficiency qualifications and current certification.
  • Must successfully obtain Act 24, Act 34, Act 114, and Act 151 clearances.
  • Must own an approved personal firearm.

Applicants who meet most but not all of the listed qualifications may still be considered. The District may be able to assist with the completion of required trainings.

Compensation

  • $25.75 per hour
