Multipurpose Rehab and Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist, including LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R, to join our team in Albany, New York. This position is conducted in a remote setting leveraging telehealth capabilities, enabling flexibility and the ability to meet patients where they are in their recovery journey. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will have the resources and support necessary to excel in your practice.

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the psychological, emotional, and social needs of patients seeking treatment for substance use disorders.
• Develop personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapies, ensuring they align with the patient’s goals and therapeutic needs.
• Deliver individual counseling sessions that incorporate techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy tailored to address substance use issues.
• Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for patients to share experiences, learn from each other, and bolster their recovery efforts.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and addiction specialists to coordinate comprehensive care, enhancing the therapeutic experience for each patient.
• Provide crisis intervention as required and assist patients during times of acute need.
• Educate patients and their families about essential recovery principles, coping strategies, and available community resources that complement treatment.
• Document all patient interactions meticulously to ensure compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements while maintaining confidentiality.
• Play an active role in team meetings, case reviews, and ongoing professional development opportunities to remain current with best practices in the field.
• Stay informed about the latest research and methodologies in substance use disorder treatment to enhance the effectiveness of care provided.

Our primary focus is on individuals who are dealing with substance use disorders, ranging from mild to severe cases. We work closely with patients from diverse backgrounds, emphasizing a non-judgmental and empathetic approach to ensure each person feels valued and understood during their recovery process. Family involvement is also encouraged, fostering a collaborative recovery environment that strengthens support systems.

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Possession of a current and valid licensure in New York State as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT.
• Demonstrated understanding of substance use disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Experience in providing both individual and group therapy, specifically within addiction treatment settings.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on building rapport and trust with patients.
• Proficient in maintaining professional boundaries and adhering to ethical guidelines to safeguard patient information.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and relevant technology to ensure efficient documentation and care coordination.
• Ability to work inclusively as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a culture of respect and continuous improvement.

• Previous exposure to telehealth practices is advantageous, given the remote nature of this position.
• Experience working in fast-paced environments dealing with crisis intervention in substance use situations.
• Knowledge of community resources in Albany, New York, that can aid in patient recovery journeys.

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000 per year, commensurate with experience, alongside a robust benefits package that includes:
