Position Summary

The DC Supervisor (individual contributor) partners closely with the DC Manager to support daily distribution center operations, with a strong focus on SAP-driven shipping and receiving activities, order processing, and cross-functional coordination. This is a hands-on operational role responsible for managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.This position operates as a senior team member within a small, collaborative team structure and does not have direct reports.


Position Characteristics

  • Strong working knowledge of shipping and receiving operations within a distribution or manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in a high-performance, fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex tasks simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Customer Service, Sales, and Transportation
  • Teams Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Comfortable working with and navigating SAP and other business systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)


Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s degree or higher in a related field preferred


Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years hands-on SAP experience required, specifically within shipping, receiving, and logistics workflows
  • Demonstrated experience supporting distribution center or warehouse operations
  • Experience coordinating with internal teams and external partners (e.g., carriers, drivers) APICS/CPIM or other supply chain certification is not required, but is a plus

Position Responsibilities

  • Execute daily shipping and receiving operations, including processing all related documentation and system transactions
  • Perform SAP transactions related to shipping, receiving, and order processing (including PGI and order allocation)
  • Coordinate with internal teams (sales, customer service, production) and external partners (carriers, drivers) regarding schedules, changes, and delivery updates
  • Process bills of lading and shipping documentation
  • Support truck planning and shipment coordination
  • Respond to inventory-related inquiries and support customer service requests
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory reconciliation as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity across systems
  • Ship samples and manage small package shipments (e.g., UPS) Perform other duties as assigned in support of DC operations
