Woodbridge Montessori Academy of Rockwall is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for children and families. We are currently hiring for multiple Early Childhood Educator positions to join our growing team.


Early Childhood Educators engage with children and families to support social, emotional, physical, and academic development. This role requires strong communication, teamwork, organization, and a genuine passion for caring for children.

Requirements:

 Child Care & Safety

  • Ensure the health, safety, and supervision of all children at all times.
     
  • Comply with all center policies (FEG) and applicable state and federal childcare regulations.
     
  • Understand and fulfill responsibilities as a mandated reporter.
     
  • Notify parents promptly of illness, injury, or changes affecting their child.
     
  • Maintain appropriate classroom setup to ensure supervision and safety.
     
  • Perform and delegate housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe environment.
     
Family Engagement
  • Build positive relationships with current and prospective parents and families.
     
  • Communicate effectively about children’s progress and needs.
     
  • Conduct parent conferences and maintain child portfolios.
     
  • Participate in family events and meetings as required.
     
Curriculum & Classroom Management
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities.
     
  • Maintain balanced daily schedules (indoor/outdoor, quiet/active, individual/group activities).
     
  • Evaluate children’s development and maintain accurate documentation.
     
  • Collaborate with coworkers to improve curriculum and classroom environment.
     
  • Coordinate classroom responsibilities with teachers and assistants.
     
Teamwork & Center Support
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
     
  • Assist with center duties when staffing needs arise.
     
  • Communicate important information to the Director regarding child care and safety.
     
  • Work collaboratively to solve problems and support families and coworkers.

 Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
     
  • At least 1 year experience in early childhood education
     
  • Meets state education/licensing requirements
     
  • CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
     
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
     
  • Ability to genuinely care for and relate to children and families

  • CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework
