Description
The Town of Prescott Valley invites you to apply for the position of Multimedia Specialist.
The Town of Prescott Valley is seeking a creative Multimedia Specialist to produce engaging digital and print media that supports our communication and marketing efforts. This role develops video, photo, audio, animation, and graphic content for social media, websites, and public information projects, and provides technical support for live and recorded broadcasts-including Town Council meetings. The Specialist manages multimedia projects from concept to completion and contributes to clear, effective communication with our community. This is an "in-office" position, and the selected candidate is required to work in the Town media building location.
Examples of Duties
IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL:
  • Operate and understand a variety of modern digital camera equipment (video and photo) and editing software (primarily Adobe Creative Suite or Final Cut).
  • Have a strong understanding of elements of storytelling and composition.
  • Oversee and implement a variety of multimedia projects from initial concept to final post-production, ensuring timelines and branding guidelines are met.
  • Create and edit horizontal and vertical, long and short-form videos, or other requested content.
  • Optimize multimedia content for different devices and platforms. This includes capturing content from public community events, parks and recreation programs, library programs, tourism, and economic development among others.
  • Set up and operate digital video cameras and equipment related to television studios, control rooms, field productions, live televised public Town Council and other public meetings with multi-camera directing, non-linear video edit systems, and other related equipment and software.
  • Deliver exceptional service to a diverse customer base; collaborate professionally with all levels of management, staff, elected officials and community leaders to support operational goals and objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative working environment, taking personal ownership of projects and actively building upon team ideas.

Typical Qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting, Communications, Television/Radio/Film or related field with three (3) years' experience audio/video production. The Town may consider any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and/or other editing and design software is preferred.
  • Must be able to drive to and from locations in Town vehicle; load video gear in and out of vehicle.
  • Job may require some nights, weekends, and holiday work as assigned.
  • Possession of or ability to obtain FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification within the timeframe designated by the Town.

The Town's complete compensation package includes salary, benefits, and a high-performance culture.
