Sr. Multimedia Specialist - Part Time

Edina, MN

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Multimedia Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will design, create, and manage multimedia content that aligns with organizational goals and enhances audience engagement. Your work will span across various media formats — including video, animation, graphics, 3D, and audio — to support both internal initiatives and customer-focused marketing, training, and communication efforts.

This role sits at the intersection of traditional production craft and AI-assisted creation. You will be expected to use generative AI platforms as everyday production tools, writing effective prompts to accelerate ideation, generate imagery and video, and scale content output without sacrificing brand quality. A significant portion of the work centers on short-form, high-velocity content: UGC-style clips with captions and music, social and email graphics, and 3D product videos.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

AI-Assisted Content Creation & Prompt Engineering

  • Operate at a mid-to-high levelofproficiencyacross AI creative platforms such as Google Flow, ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, and comparable tools for image, video, and copy generation.
  • Write, test, and refine prompts to produce on-brand, production-ready assets; iterate systematically rather than relying on single-shot outputs.
  • Build andmaintaina reusable prompt library, style references, and model/settingsdocumentationso AI output stays consistent across team members and projects.
  • Blend AI-generated elements with traditionally produced footage, photography, and design — using AI to accelerate concepting, variation, background/asset generation, upscaling, and rough-cut production.
  • Apply sound judgment on where AI is and is notappropriate, including quality thresholds, brand safety, licensing and usage rights, disclosure requirements, and client expectations.
  • Evaluate emerging AI tools and models, run practical tests, and recommend adoption where they measurably improve speed or quality.

UGC, Social & Short-Form Content Production

  • Produce UGC-style video clips for social platforms, including captions/subtitles, licensed music beds, sound design, hooks, and platform-native pacing and aspect ratios.
  • Create 3D product videos and animated product visualizations for e-commerce, paid media, and organicsocial.
  • Design email graphics, social graphics, banners,andadcreative sized andoptimized perplatformspecification.
  • Develop multiple creative variations per concept to support A/B testing and paid media iteration.
  • Maintaina high-volume content cadence while meeting brand, accessibility, and technical quality standards.

Design, Content Creation & Production

  • Develop, design, and produce high-quality multimedia assets, including videos, animations, graphics, motion graphics, audio recordings, and interactive media experiences.
  • Identify potential design issues and provide innovative solutions to overcome challenges.
  • Develop multimedia content and design intuitive UI/UX for web, mobile, and social platforms.

Collaboration

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including marketing, communications, training, and IT, to understand project needs and deliver creative solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with a team on multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Work collaboratively on multimedia and design strategy for major projects from concept to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality expectations are met.

Technical Expertise

  • Stay updated on the latest multimedia tools, software, and trends, implementing best practices to continuously improve content quality.

Quality Assurance

  • Establish andmaintainbrand guidelines and design standards.

  • HS Diploma/GED andBachelor’sdegree in Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, Communications, ora relatedfield (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in multimedia production, including video editing, animation, and graphic design.
  • Proficiencyin multimedia software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator), Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
  • Workingproficiencywith generative AI platforms for image, video, and text generation, withdemonstratedskill in prompt creation and iteration.
  • Experience producing short-form social and UGC-style content, including captioning and music integration.
  • Experience with 3D modeling and animation software is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of multimedia formats, production workflows, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Portfolioshowcasinga range of multimedia projects, including short-form social work and, ideally, AI-assisted pieces.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS  

This role involves standing for extended periods of time, frequently using a computer keyboard and mouse requiring manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination. Visual demands include reading documents, reports, and computer screens.  Occasional lifting and carrying of office supplies or boxes weighing up to 25lbs may be required.  Some reaching and stretching may be necessary.  The office environment is well lit, with a moderate noise level and comfortable temperature.  Ergonomic equipment is available to support employee comfort and wellbeing.
