Organizational Summary
Charlotte 49ers Ventures is the official in-house revenue-generation and commercial enterprise of Charlotte Athletics, created to maximize growth opportunities and elevate the university's position in the rapidly evolving college athletics landscape. Operating with an entrepreneurial mindset, Charlotte 49ers Ventures oversees corporate partnerships, multimedia rights, premium hospitality, brand activation, and emerging NIL opportunities.
Position Summary
Charlotte 49ers Ventures is seeking a creative, innovative, and revenue-focused Manager, Social Content to support the development, activation, and growth of Charlotte Athletics' digital sponsorship inventory. This position will play a critical role in creating compelling visual content, developing new sponsorship inventory, and executing branded content initiatives that drive fan engagement and generate revenue.
Reporting to the Sr Manager, Partnership Marketing, this position will work closely with Corporate
Partnerships, Brand & Communications, Marketing, Ticket Sales, and Creative Services to identify and
activate partnership opportunities across social media, digital platforms, NIL initiatives, email marketing, video content, and emerging media channels.
The ideal candidate is a strong designer and content creator who understands how creative storytelling,
social media, and digital assets can create value for corporate partners while enhancing the Charlotte
Athletics brand.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Social Content Partnership Development
• Collaborate with the Charlotte 49ers Ventures team to develop, package, and activate digital sponsorship inventory across social media, web, email, video, mobile, NIL, and emerging platforms.
• Assist in identifying new revenue-generating opportunities through branded content, digital
activations, and partner-integrated storytelling.
• Develop creative concepts and visual mockups that support sponsorship sales presentations and new business development efforts.
• Support the fulfillment, tracking, and execution of contracted digital and social partnership assets.
• Assist in the creation of sponsorship recaps, proof-of-performance reports, and partner presentations.
Creative Design & Content Creation
• Design high-quality graphics and digital assets for social media, corporate partnerships, ticket sales
campaigns, fundraising initiatives, merchandise promotions, and special events.
• Create static graphics, motion graphics, and digital content that support athletics-wide and sport-
specific marketing initiatives.
• Produce sponsor-branded creative assets that align with Charlotte Athletics brand standards while
delivering measurable value to partners.
• Assist in the development of content packages that support NIL initiatives and student-athlete brand
opportunities. Support photography, videography, and content production efforts as needed.
Digital Activation & Fan Engagement
• Execute sponsored social media campaigns and branded content initiatives across Charlotte Athletics platforms.
• Work collaboratively with communications and marketing teams to integrate partnership messaging
into digital content strategies.
• Assist in managing content calendars and activation schedules for sponsored campaigns.
• Monitor industry trends, platform innovations, and emerging opportunities to enhance fan engagement and partnership value.
• Support live event, game day, and special event content opportunities.
Collaboration & Brand Stewardship
• Serve as a collaborative resource between Charlotte 49ers Ventures, athletics communications, marketing, and creative teams.
• Ensure all sponsored content aligns with departmental brand standards and strategic objectives.
• Assist in maintaining creative consistency across all digital partnership activations.
• Contribute ideas that enhance the overall commercial strategy and fan experience of Charlotte
Athletics.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Sports Management, or a related field.
• Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in content creation, graphic design, digital marketing, social
media, sponsorship activation, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Experience creating digital and social media content.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, digital trends, and audience engagement strategies.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in collegiate athletics, professional sports, entertainment, media, or agency
environments.
• Experience supporting corporate partnerships, sponsorship activation, or branded content
initiatives.
• Proficiency in motion graphics and video editing software, including Adobe After Effects and
Premiere Pro.
• Experience creating sales presentations, sponsorship mockups, and branded content concepts.
• Familiarity with NIL opportunities and the evolving collegiate athletics landscape.
• Knowledge of social media analytics and digital performance reporting.
The Manager, Social Content will be evaluated on:
