We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Asset Manager whose current or prior responsibilities include direct management of equity investments in multifamily assets and/or experience working in an investment/acquisition capacity for equity investments in multifamily assets.
As a Senior Asset Manager with Gables, you will be surrounded by a highly accomplished team working toward common goals focused on providing high-quality housing and exceptional service for our residents and long-term profit maximization for our investors.
The role works closely with the property management, facilities, and investments groups, relying heavily on trust, strong interpersonal relationships, and consistently providing accurate and reliable information.
The asset management team is charged with representing the owner's interests in managing the ongoing financial performance of the portfolio. The role requires thought leadership as well as strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills to develop relationships and effectively execute investment and operational strategies.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and demonstrate command of the physical and operational aspects of assigned assets
  • Fully evaluate and communicate market positioning and strategic plan for each assigned asset
  • Oversee business strategy for each assigned asset; communicate and oversee strategy implementation
  • Review and propose strategic plans for capital expenditures; monitor and reforecast capital plans through completion, adjusting strategy as needed
  • Participate in the preparation and review of annual budgets, reforecasts, and monthly variance reviews; evaluate results to determine appropriate adjustments to business strategy
  • Manage joint venture relationships at the asset level
  • Participate in the acquisition/development process: discuss regional/sub-market research and approve underwritten financial assumptions
  • Interact with senior management, lenders, appraisers, brokers, and third parties as needed regarding asset and/or market performance

Education: BS/BA is required.
Experience: We have an opportunity for a well-rounded, experienced Senior Asset Manager whose current or prior responsibilities include direct management of equity investments in multifamily assets and/or experience working in an investment/acquisition capacity for equity investments in multifamily assets. The preferred candidate will have 7 years or more of experience. Prior experience working in an investment or acquisition capacity is beneficial, but is not required.

Licenses: A valid driver's license and current automobile insurance are required.
Attendance: The position is exempt from overtime and may entail working hours as needed to perform the position requirements satisfactorily. The position requires in-person attendance at the office and assigned assets, as developing relationships and interaction with other personnel throughout the organization are key requirements for success in this position.
Travel: Travel is required, including overnight trips. The individual must have the ability to travel via all forms of commercial transportation, as required, and have the ability/access to drive a car.
