Job description

This full-time position at our West Springfield location is for a Family Support Worker providing home
visits for families in Hampden, Hampshire and Franklin Counties who have been referred by the
Department of Children and Families. This position also includes facilitating Family Time Supervised
Visitation referred by the Department of Children and Families, Family and Probate Court, and Post
Adoption.

To be a good fit for this position you have:

  • A knowledge of strengths-based engagement with at-risk children and families. You’re able to
    support families in identifying their goals & strengths, track and document progress; coordinate needed services; provide warm referrals, individualized support advocacy
  • Good skills in collaboration and communication
  • Solid understanding of community-based resources
  • Experience working with Transitional- Aged Youth
  • The ability to build trusting relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries
  • Dependable transportation
  • Excellent organizational skills and good writing/computer skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or 5 years of relevant experience
  • Must be available to work an occasional evening or Saturday
