Job Purpose

American Honda Finance Corporation (AHFC) is seeking a Senior Marketing Communications Specialist.  The Senior Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for developing and executing integrated digital marketing, media, and customer experience initiatives that support AHFC business objectives, drive consideration of Honda and Acura financing products, and enhance the customer journey across digital touchpoints.

This role serves as a key liaison between Marketing Communications, agency partners, Customer Experience (CX), MarTech, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver effective marketing campaigns, digital experiences, and reporting solutions. Responsibilities include paid search strategy and optimization, media planning and performance analysis, creative asset management, digital production, website and mobile application support, user acceptance testing (UAT), and customer experience enhancements. The role also monitors and recommends opportunities related to AI-driven search, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and digital marketing innovations to improve business performance and customer engagement.

Key Accountabilities

Key Accountabilities Include but not limited to:

Digital Media Strategy & Campaign Management

  • Develop and execute digital-first media strategies that support AHFC marketing objectives,   sales initiatives, and business priorities

Creative Strategy, Production & Asset Management

  • Develop and execute creative strategies for AHFC consumer-facing general market and multicultural advertising campaigns.

Digital Experience, Analytics & Optimization

  • Partner with Customer Experience (CX), MarTech, IT, analytics, and agency teams to support AHFC digital initiatives

Enterprise Initiatives & Cross-Functional Program Support

  • Support enterprise-wide sales, marketing, customer experience, digital transformation, dealer-facing

Social Media, Consumer Response & Asset Support

  • Coordinate with AHM social media teams and agency partners to schedule and publish campaign content.

Team Support & Special Projects

  • Assist other Marketing Communications team members with ad hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

Minimum Education Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Marketing or Business preferred.

Minimum Experience: 

  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, media planning, paid search, campaign management, marketing communications, or related disciplines.
  • Experience developing and executing digital media strategies across multiple channels, including paid search, paid social, programmatic media, and emerging digital platforms.
  • Experience managing paid search strategy, optimization, reporting, and agency partnerships required
  • Experience managing agency relationships and overseeing campaign execution from planning through performance analysis and optimization.
  • Experience supporting creative production, digital content development, and asset management processes.
  • Experience working on digital product initiatives such as websites, mobile applications, customer journey improvements, or digital experience enhancements
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Marketing, IT, Customer Experience (CX), Analytics, Legal, Compliance, and external partners.
  • Experience analyzing campaign performance data and translating insights into actionable business recommendations.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Automotive, financial services, or regulated-industry experience preferred

Other Job Specific Skills: 

  • Strong understanding of digital media planning, campaign optimization, and performance measurement across paid search, paid social, programmatic, and emerging digital channels.
  • Working knowledge of media platforms, ad-serving technologies, analytics tools, customer data platforms (CDPs), tagging frameworks, and marketing technology ecosystems.
  • Understanding of customer experience (CX) principles and digital customer journey optimization.
  • Experience supporting website enhancements, digital product implementations, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Ability to partner with MarTech, analytics, and technology teams to ensure accurate campaign tracking, measurement, reporting, and data integrity.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, including the ability to manage complex approval processes, large volumes of creative assets, campaign deliverables, stakeholder reviews, and multiple concurrent project deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Experience managing budgets, vendors, and external agency relationships
