The Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor at MultiCare Behavioral Health plays an essential role in our commitment to providing high-quality mental health services. This remote position allows you to work from the comfort of your home while engaging with a diverse patient population through our community health clinic services. Advanced telehealth technologies will be at your disposal to conduct sessions, document patient progress, and share updates with your clinical team.

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric or psychosocial assessments, including thorough mental status exams, to evaluate patient needs.
• Collaborate with patients to formulate detailed treatment plans that address their unique circumstances, integrating individual, couples, and family therapy approaches.
• Provide a range of therapeutic interventions such as psychotherapy, supportive therapy, and psychoeducation that enhance social skills and promote effective problem-solving strategies.
• Utilize electronic health record systems to document all patient encounters accurately and in compliance with organizational standards, ensuring the continuity of care.
• Engage with referral sources and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and treatment strategies for patients.
• Ongoing evaluation of therapy effectiveness and patient progress metrics to refine treatment approaches accordingly.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a diverse array of patients facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and co-occurring disorders. Your expertise will cater to individuals, couples, and families seeking support to navigate their psychological and emotional well-being. Your interventions will play a crucial role in fostering resilience and improving overall quality of life for your clients.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is required.
• Active licensure in Washington State as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A minimum of three years of direct patient care experience in a mental health setting, demonstrating a depth of understanding in therapeutic modalities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to produce high-quality clinical documentation.
• Proficiency in managing time effectively and prioritizing tasks in a remote work setting.

• Experience working within a community health clinic or similar environment.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and tools for remote therapy delivery.
• Background in treating co-occurring disorders and understanding of integrated treatment models.
