RN Unit Manager
The Emerald Peek Rehabilitation & Nursing Center
Position Overview:
The Emerald Peek Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to step into a Unit Manager role. This position is responsible for overseeing daily operations of a nursing unit, ensuring quality resident care, and providing leadership to both licensed and non-licensed staff within a skilled nursing setting.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate daily clinical operations for an assigned unit
  • Complete required documentation including reports, evaluations, care plans, and medical records
  • Supervise nursing staff, including coaching, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions when necessary
  • Support staff development through training and one-on-one education
  • Oversee and maintain quality assurance initiatives within the unit
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary departments to ensure continuity of care
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and clinical standards
  • Serve as a point of contact for residents, families, and staff, addressing concerns professionally
  • Make sound clinical and operational decisions in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York
  • Prior supervisory experience in a hospital, long-term care, or related healthcare setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of clinical practices, long-term care regulations, and compliance standards
